Well it maybe soon that they sell the last KT, which was featured last week. So it's time to post the buy of the week for
March 5, 2006.

This week we have the rarely done British Firefly. This one has a hull mounted machine gun, so it must be a II C. It is a discontinued W. Britains, so get it quick if you want one. I have one in my collection. Here's the link:

This week we’ll start with two international offerings.

The first of these is a 1/48th scale Tamiya Hetzer. It is offered at Buy-Model for $39.00. It can be found here:

http://buy-model.com/itemdetail.php?Id=1889&ClassId=40&GroupId=198 (http://buy-model.com/itemdetail.php?Id=1889&ClassId=40&GroupId=198)

The second international offer is Marushin 1/48 Kawanishi N1K2 Shiden-kai (George) 343rd IJN FG. It is offered at Hobby Link Japan for about $50.77 (5,980 yen) and can be found here:

http://www.hlj.com/product/MRS73623 (http://www.hlj.com/product/MRS73623)

Be sure to know your shipping costs when placing your international orders. Both companies listed above have helpful information on their site on this subject. Buy-Model makes it the easiest of any international company I have run across with regard to shipping to the good old USA.

Returning to the States, we have three selections this week.

The World War II tank collectors will want to check out the M4A3 Sherman Tank of the segregated Black Panthers battalion. It is offered by JJ’s Closet at $20.99. See it here:

The stateside fly boys have two items to consider this week. The first of these is Corgi Aviation Archive Collector Series CG-AA35203 P-40E Warhawk Diecast Model USAAF 49th FG, 9th FS, "White 86", Andrew Reynolds Limited Edition offered by the Flying Mule at only $15.99. It can be spotted here:

For our last offering we enter the modern era for an F-15E Strike Eagle built by Dragon in a 1/72nd scale. It is a Bad Cat Toys special at $19.95. It appears on your radar here:

Dragon's 1/72 scale AFVs appear to be the standard to beat at that scale, especially with regard to anything near its price points. Perhaps the closest competition comes Aoshima. If like most, you have not heard of this maker, check out what "Houston Mike" has to say and show about the Aoshima line:

http://www.mikes-tanks.com/Aoshima.htm

So our first offering is an international one from the Aoshima line. It is a Henschell King Tiger from the 503rd. You can link to at Hobby Link Japan it here Where it is offered at about $8.28 (980 yen).

http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS71328

Item #2 is Churchill Mk III from El Alamein in 1942. It is from Corgi at the 1/50 scale, and is offered at $19.99 by DieCast Direct:

http://www.diecastdirect.com/asp_modules/add_item.asp?ProductCode=C60104

Items #3 & #4 are your choice of FW-190A-4s. The first is from Tunisia in 1943 at $19.95, and the second is from France during that same year and costs 4 cents more. Both are Corgi 1/72 offerings at Pete's:

This week we feature the offerings from 21st Century. It's amazing to me that you can pick up some pretty good, although mostly plastic, replicas of AFVs and war planes at such low prices from outlets like Walmart, as well as on-line. For a sampling of what 21st Century has to offer, we turn to the Fetco web site. Although they are sold out of many of the pieces that are shown, others are still available. Check it out here:

http://fetco1.homestead.com/21stCentury3Coldsteel.html

For the World War II heavy bomber fans, we offer a 1/72 B-24 "dragon & babe" Liberator for $59.99. Pete's has limited stock on this item, which can be seen here:

We kick things off with an international offering 1/43 scale Sd. Kfz. 251/1 by Doyusha. It is offer by Hobby Link Japan for 2,000 yen (or about $17.16 in the US). You can find it here:

http://www.hlj.com/product/DYS00459

It appears to me that this piece is the same as those from Schuco, which will soon be available in the US. See the upcoming Schuco 1/43 scale line here:

http://www.schuco.de/uk/models/militaryseries.htm

So those in the US may want to wait and see if a better price and less for shipping on the same piece (and many more) will come about soon.

Our second offering is a buffet of Armour (aka Franklin Mint) on sale offerings from Wings and Wheels. You will find 11 planes and one helicopter being offered within a price range of $39.95 to $59.95. Just under half are post WW II jets, and exactly half (for a total of 6) are WW II airplanes, including 2 which may not be currently available. Check them out here:

We have some offerings this week that even your mother can love.

On the AFV side of the house we feature two related German big cats. One is small and the other very large.

The little brother is the 1/72 scale Dragon Sd.Kfz. 182 King Tiger (Porsche Turret) 1.sPzKp. (Fkl) Pz. Lehr-Rgt. 130 Kaisersteinbruch 1944 offered by Pete's at only $9.99. Take a peak here:

http://www.petescollectibles.com/display.asp?ItemNo=pick#item

In a bit a role reversal, our very large 1/18th scale 21st Century Xtreme Detail eastern front Tiger offered by The Toy Federation at a low $39.95. You can catch this big, bad boy here:

http://www.thetoyfederation.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16759&cat=0&bestseller

For you jet fighter jocks, we have two offerings as well.

The first takes you to the skies late in World War II. It is an Armour 1/48 scale Me-262 offered by 3000 Toys for $42.95. It can be seen streaking across the sky at this vector:

http://www.3000toys.com/catalog/item_detail.asp?itemfind=ARMOURB11B299

The second is, in my opinion, one of the cleanest and most beautiful jet fighters ever made, and a damned good fighter to boot. It is a 1/72 scale Corgi Legends Series F86A-5 49-1175 - 1Lt. Joseph E. Fields, 336th FIS/4th FIW, Kimpo, South Korea, 1952 offered by Pete's at $19.99.

A couple weeks ago we featured items that were priced low and perfect for the novice collector or someone with a casual interest to pick up.

This time we're focusing on some higher priced items. You may not need to be a trust fund kid to buy them, but it won't hurt!

Item #1 is the increasingly rare Dragon 1:35 scale Tunisia Tiger. It can certainly be argued that this piece is too dear at about $70. But based on limited availability, the fact that this is a first issue, the high degree of quality and detail, and that most of the few other places where you can order this item charge much more, I have to conclude that the $69.95 that you will spend at DieCast Direct for this piece is money well spent. You can find it in limited quantities here:

http://www.diecastdirect.com/asp_modules/add_item.asp?ProductCode=DW61001

Item #2 is not too much different in type from item #1, but it is not die cast at all. Instead it is a complete Tamiya model from their Masterworks Collection. At $78.57, this is the best price I have found on a 1:35 scale Masterworks AFV. This one is a Bradley and it is a buute! Check it out from Micro Macro Mundo here:

http://www.rocousa.com/DETAIL.ASP?PRODUCT_ID=ta21023

Item #3 will take us above the battlefield. In honor of our recent KG field trip to the US Air Force Museum, where we saw one of these babies and had our group picture taken in front of same, I have selected the Ju-52. This 1:48 scale Crete Armour (Franklin Mint) version from 3000 Toys is offered for $97.90. It is rare to see one offered for less than a C note. See it for free here:

http://www.3000toys.com/catalog/item_detail.asp?itemfind=ARMOURB11B639

Item #4 and last is for international purchase from the good folks at Hobby Link Japan. It is a Marushin 1/48 Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Type 52 offered for 4,908 yen or about $44.61. Marushin products are very hard to find in the US, and I have heard that they can also be hard to find even in Japan. They are excellent quality heavy metal planes. Everyone loves both the smell of napalm in morning and a Tiger tank. While nothing I know about in die cast can directly address the former, there is a new company in town that offers the latter. From Flying Mule for $19.99 you can pick up a Hobby Master Ground Power Series HM-HG0102
Tiger Tank Diecast Model
sPzKp Meyer "Strotch", #8.

It comes in an unusual 1:56 scale, making it smaller than a Corgi AFV, but quite a bit larger than the Dragon 1:72 scale line. You can see it here:

Going to the air, you can chose between two versions of the P-51D at 1:72 from Corgi. Both are offered by Diecast Direct.

At $13.99 the choice easiest on the budget is "Maj. Shomo" from the Corgi History Channel Series. It was searching for targets here:

While it looks to be a high quality well painted/made model, is 20 bucks a bit pricey for a model that size? I never collected die cast so i thought id ask, seems a bit pricey to me, but your the expert, so i thought id ask. :beerglass

That local "Country Store" i was telling you about Bill had a big sale the other day on all its die cast. All those Stukas i mentioned to you went for 5 bucks a pop. Along with the Tempests, IL2's, Typhoons, P-47's and several other WWII ground attack planes.

At $20 (or $18.50 plus a bit more for shipping from Bad Cat Toys), a quality 1:56 scale Tiger is a good buy. I have only seen pictures of the New Hobby Master offerings and one positive review on a blog, but with those limitations, the HM tanks appear to be quality items. Note: I'm not so sure about their planes.

By comparison about $25 to $39 is what is asked at the good places for most Corgi 1:50 AFVs. If you go smaller with the 1:72 dragon tanks, the newest items start at about $16 bucks a pop. So it appears that the Hobby Master Tigers and Abrams are priced well.

I would have liked to stop at your country store and maybe pick up an early birthday present for myself. What were the makers of their products? My guess is that all or most of them were from Model Power, as they are the only folks I know who have an IL-2. Here's some pix of the some of the Model Power offerings. If you can, let me know what brands they carry at your store.

The IL-2's and the P-47's were Model Power now that you mention it and all the others were made by the same maker but the name eludes me at the moment. They had seperate bombs and some had seperate guns or gun pods. The came in high quality packaging that was blue if that helps. They were 1/72 scale. Of the 2 stukas, one was a Afrika Korps version with a dark tan paint job with a snake painted on it and highly detailed and weathered with paint chips ect. The other i belive was Hans Rudel's Tank Buster with the 37mm ATG's and highly detailed weathering as well. Both high quality models for their size. The other planes were of the same high quality and made by the same maker.

Model Power has "Postage Stamp". So all or some of the not yet identified items offed by your country store may be from that line. The Model Power line uses variable scales, and many are unusual.

If some are not from Model Power, it may be a bit difficult to lock down the line or lines without additional information. The 1:72 scale is a very common one for planes. Many Corgi planes and most Dragon planes are 1:72 scale.

As many of us have completed the celebration of Canada Day or are gearing up for the 4th of July here is the USA, I'll start with a plane made for this time of year.

From Pete's for just $16.99, it is a Corgi 1:72 US Navy–Bicentennial F-4 Phantom-J, decked out in red, white and blue. You can see it along with the fireworks here:

http://www.petescollectibles.com/display.asp?cat=Search&ItemNo=AA33206#item

Our second airplane selection is a rare bird. It is only available from the Flying Mule and although this unique Corgi 1:72 German bird is available for purchase, it is not on the Mule's web site (at least that I could find). It is a US34307 Focke-Wulf 190A-6/R3 Scale 1:72 The Flying Mule Special Commission "White 11", I./JG51, Eastern Front, Spring 1943. you can see it here:

http://www.tricatus.co.uk/US34307.htm

If you are interested and willing to pony up $29.99 for one, contact Samantha at Flying Mule Sales, http://www.flyingmule.com (http://www.flyingmule.com) , (530) 271-2105 or email her at sales@flyingmule.com

We don't want to forget about our AFV fans on this holiday weekend. Our third offering is a Forces of Valor 1:32 US Paladin SPH offered for just $27.00 by Bad Cat toys. You can see this modern HE chucker before it zeroes in on you , clicking here:

http://www.badcataviation.com/useho1foofva.html

Our second AFV is also a Bad Cat 4th of July special. It is a 1:72 IS-3 from MRC/Trumpeter for just $9.95. You won't see it in Berlin in May 1945 (will you?), but you can spot it here:

Dragon, well known for their high quality 1:72 AFV line, has released the second of their 1:35 Tigers. This one is in winter Eastern Front camo. It is the Dragon Armor DM-61003 Tiger Tank Diecast Model s.Pz.Abt.502, #122, Eastern Front
offered by Pete's at $65. You can see it in the July snow here:

http://www.petescollectibles.com/display.asp?cat=Dragon&ItemNo=DRR61003#item

Better pictures but a bit hight price tag are observed at the Flying Mule:

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/DM-61003

If you want one, I suggest that you act quickly.

[P.S. KG_Panzerschreck and I have done further research (including actually reading what was posted by the Flying Mule) and have concluded that this is an initial production Tiger, which is rarely modeled. Generally speaking, Tigers can be broken down in to initial, early, mid and late production versions. Added 7/16/06.]

Looking to the sky, this week we feature the IXO line. The IXO line in North American is actually European Altaya line being dribbled out a few pieces at a time. You can see the complete Altaya collection here (and being able to read French will help):

http://www.altaya.fr/ficha.php?id=101

From the IXO line we feature the rare DO 335A-1 Pfeil from a Hamilton, ON site that ships internationally. Maybe KG_Thorshammer can tell us something about Modeller's Choice, which is one of the few places in North America which offers the Pfeil. It will fly your way for $24.99 in Canadian Dollars. See this rare German bird here:

http://www.modellerschoice.com/DesktopDefault2.aspx?tabid=41&productid=6050

More of the IXO line can be observed at Pete's and the Flying Mule here:

We'll start with World War II war birds. For the experienced collector and/or one with some extra scratch, the unusual offerings of Eagles International are worth checking out. I especially like their earlier versions of the P-51 Mustang. They are hard to find and most places that carry them want not much under a C note a piece for them. However, Wings and Wheels offers these earlier Mustangs, as well as pre-orders for US trainers for $69.95 a pop. You can order one or more here:

http://www.wingsandwheel.com/eagles.htm

Because Wings and Wheels don't have pictures of these planes, you can see the Eagles International line here:

http://www.onmarkint.com/eagles/

For you beginning collectors or those just looking for bargains, Wings and Wheels also has a great sale on a good number of Corgi aircraft that have been discontinued. You will probably want to look at the particular model at the site that covers all the Corgi offering and which appears a few threads below this one, before you buy to assure that you are ordering exactly what you want. After you have done so, make your selections for only $10 or $15 a piece here:

http://www.wingsandwheel.com/clearance.htm

If you have some money left over, you may also want to consider the Armour offering on sale just down the same page.

Our AFV offering this week is Product ID: TA26508
Category: Tamiya Masterwork Collection
TA26508 1/48 Ger Tank Destroyer Hetzer (Finished Mid Production)
Description: 1/48 Ger Tank Destroyer Hetzer (Finished Mid Production) camo version

it is from Micro Macro Mundo Inc. (http://www.rocousa.com/) and available for $42.58. They ship internationally, so see it here:

The dog days of summer are here, especially in the Lone Star State. So while most of us outside the upper Midwest are hiding inside under air conditioning, it might be just the time to check out some cool summer die cast deals.

Looking to the hot pavement or dry dusty trails, we again feature two AFVs from different military eras. In chronological order, the first is a Corgi German Sd. Kfz. 7 at 1:50 scale from their History Channel series. It is offered by Diecast Direct for $19.99 and can be one half of a buy 2 and get 1 free shopping trip. You can see it awaiting a load here:

http://www.diecastdirect.com/asp_modules/add_item.asp?ProductCode=C60010

The second, from the Flying Mule at the same scale and for the same price, is:

Corgi Military Vehicles CG-US51104
M113 Assault Vehicle Diecast Model
US Army 11th Armored Cavalry, "Draft Dodger", Vietnam

Catch it here before it heads into the jungle:

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/CG-US51104

The best deals this week seem to all be in the air. Our first selection is again from the Flying Mule. It is an 1:72 scale IXO model that can be snatched on sale for just $14.99. One of the Brit's best, it is:

IXO Models Junior IX-DDIJ004
DeHavilland Mosquito Diecast Model
RAAF No.464 Sqn, Tom McFee/Geoffrey Atkins, Amiens Prison, France, Operation Jericho, February 18th 1944

See it here, before one of fastest planes in the theater zooms out of range:

Our fourth and final selection this week is again from the Flying Mule's sale page. It is a Corgi 1:72 scale German uber jet fighter priced at $19.99:

This week we start with AFVs and we start big--as in a 1/6 AH01 Sd.Kfz. 250 German Halftrack from Armor Hobbies and sold at Great Models for $239.95. Shipping is free is the US, as you can see here:

http://www.armorhobbies.com/default.asp?page=a25 and

Some assembly is required.

While at the site, you can also check out the 1/6 BRA001 Pz.Kfw.IV Ausf.H, which can be yours for a mere $500. See how half a G can fly out of your pocket here:

http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=BRA001

For those looking for something a bit smaller, go to 3000Toys with $19.50 in hand for 1:50 scale Italy: The Race to Messina and Beyond - M4 A3 Sherman Tank - British Army - Royal Scots Greys - Italy, 1943. See it here:

We began by featuring some higher priced items, so we'll compensate with some of the lower end for our airplane devotees.

The first, and most expensive, will set you back just $14.99 and you can have your choice of 3 different 1:50 IXO planes from the Flying Mule. The first option is F4F Wildcat Diecast Model USMC VMF-224 Bengals, Robert Galer, Guadalcanal Island, September 1942. It can also be found here:

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/IX-PIXJ019

The second option is Ki-43 Oscar Diecast Model 3rd Chutai, 54th Sentai, Akira Sugimoto, Japan, 1943 and might be seen trying to find the Wildcat at this heading:

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/IX-DDIJ005

The third IXO option came too late and in too small numbers to help much to stem the Germans in 1940. It is a Dewoitine D.520 Diecast Model
Armee de l'Air GC III/6, "White 6", Pierre Le Gloan. It can be seen trying to keep the Germans away from Paris here:

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/IX-DDIJ002

Finally, if you have only $9.99 to spend, you in luck. For that amount you can pick up a Matchbox Collectibles MB-H3737 P-40E Warhawk Diecast Model USAAF 343rd FG, 11th FS Aleutian Tigers, Aleutian Islands, 1943. It can be found being de-iced here:

This week we have three armor offerings--all from World War II.

Inspired by our recent CMAK multi-player game at SZO and my team's armor commander's great love for Italian fighting machines, this week's picks include two 1:43 scale Italian armored cars from Schucco each is offered by CR Grace for $20.00 a piece. The first is a Ansaldo AB41 Armoured Car. See it patrolling in the North African desert at this location:

http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID4030300P5041758-SCHUCO/Schuco-Italian-Ansaldo-AB41-6375.aspx

Our pick is a Sherman M4A3(76)W, 19th Tank Bn., ""Phantom"" 9th Armored Division w/VVSS from Diecast Direct and available for $16.95. See it hunting for (and hoping not to find) the German big cats here:

For those who enjoy machines of the air, we start with a plane that was still in limited US service when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It is offered by The Flying Mule for $9.99. It is a
Model Power Postage Stamp Planes MP-5560
P-26 Peashooter Diecast Model
US Army 94th Sqn in 1:63 scale

See it in neutrality yellow here:

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/MP-5560

Our final selection is from Bad Cat Toys Labor Day sale. It is a 1:48 Armour BF-109 for just $35.00. They claim it is a BF-109G. If it is, it is a very early version. For my money it looks like a BF-109F. Another site posts this plane as a BF-109F:

First from the Eastern front is the original T-34--model 1940. You will note that it's gun is shorter and positioned differently than on any subsequent version of the the T-34. Our first selection for our aviation fans is from the modern era and the skies of the former Soviet Union. It is a 1:72 scale Gaincorp World Aircraft Collection GC-8017C
Su-33 Sea Flanker Diecast Model
Russian Navy, Bort 69.

The Flying Mule has it on sale for just $29.99. Gaincorp makes very nice aircraft and you can rarely find any at this low price. See it patrolling here:

The IXO 1:72 scale Dornier Do 335 Pfeil is once again available. It has been spotted in stock at the Flying Mule for $24.99. If you are interested, I would grab one now. In the past the "out of stock" sign was put up quite quickly with regard to this piece. But for now, it can be had here:

Both of our AFV selections for this week are from Bad Cat. For those who like 'em big, our first offering will be of interest. It is a 21st Century M41 Walker Bulldog tank in 1:18 scale for $29.95. It was more frequently seen about 35 years ago, but can still be spotted here:

For those who prefer something small, in the 1:72 scale, we have the Dragon Sturmtiger diorama for the close out price of only $17.00 Check it out here:

http://www.badcataviation.com/strforbadi1d.html

A 1:48 Armour airplane is a pretty good deal at $48.99, but is a very good deal when it is a twin engine bomber offered with free shipping. That is what we found Diecast Direct for a B-26-B-55 Marauder. See this "Big Hairy Bird" here:

Our first of two AFVs is a unique selection that is available to international buyers. It is a 1:48 Tiger 1 with a full interior. You can pick it up for about $56.30 (6,650 yen) from Hobby Link Japan. Even if you don't plan to buy one, it's worth taking a look at it here:

http://www.hlj.com/product/TAR96001

UK's TankZone also has it for 49.99 pounds. You can see it there by clicking on this link:

Our second AFV is perfect for the collector on a more modest budget. It is a US M3 HT from Corgi. This 1:50 piece is available from Pete's for only $15.00. As Pete has only three left, you better hurry if you want one. See it in its 9th Armored Division livery here:

Diecast Direct continues it free shipping special (on selected items) through the end of this month. Our first selection in the air is from that sale. It is a newly released IXO 1:72 scale KI-84 Hayate "Frank" fighter for $22.95. See this late war Japanese war bird here:

Both of our AFV picks this week come from Bad Cat and both are their 21st Century 1:32 scale "duel" packs, with each being offered for $29.95.

The lighter armor selection is all German, and combines Sd. Kfz 251/1 Ausf. D HT with a Sd. Kfz. 222 armored car. You can spot them patrolling the steppes here:

http://www.badcataviation.com/sd25audhasd2.html

Our second set of two combines the German Tiger with the US M-18 Hellcat. See them on the hunt somewhere in France at this vector:

11/25/06 EDIT: Each of these dual [duel] packs can be picked up from 3000Toys for $25.95--a much better buy, especially in light of a $12 price increase by Bad Cat. See the links here:

Now that we are at the end of the Thanksgiving weekend, it is time to think about the upcoming Christmas holiday season. With this is mind we feature a higher cost item, obviously a gift for someone special, and a lower priced item, that you might buy for yourself with the little scratch that you have left after getting the more expensive selection.

We'll start big with our AFVs. From Great Models for "merely" $445.70 you can load up on this:

It's almost Christmas, man!

You will be pressing things at best, if you expect to receive or have a delivery made before Christmas for any of our featured items this week. With that out of the way, let's start with our armored selections this week. All are 1:35 Tiger tanks.

The first and most expensive Tiger is just in at Hobby Link Japan. This item is available for international shipment. For 9,800 yen (or about $83 US) you can get:

Tamiya expands its excellent Masterwork Collection of completed models with this fine rendition of an initial production Tiger I heavy tank, turret number 122, from s.Pz.Abt. 502. As with all Masterwork Collection entries, this model is completely assembled and masterfully painted, marked, and weathered. Features a die-cast chassis with plastic parts, and comes mounted on a display base.

Here's the link all the way to Japan:

Our next two Tigers are from a couple of our favorite vendors back here in the US. They are the increasingly hard to get first two editions of Dragon's 1:35 scale Tigers that have each been featured on this web site.

The first and earlier release is of a Tunisian Tiger. It is an early version of this big cat. Diecast Direct, which will not allow me to copy their pictures or product descriptions, still has it for $69.96. Here's the link:

The other 1:35 scale Dragon Tiger is an initial production version. Pete's has it for $65.00.

It's time to go airborne for our two in flight picks. The first is from Bad Cat, which won't give me access to their pictures or descriptions either. So you'll have to click the link below to see the Corgi 1:72 scale Me_262A flown by Nowotny that can be flown home for $19.00.

Our last pick before Christmas Eve is an IXO YAK 3 in 1:72 scale for $22.95. Both Pete's and Diecast direct have it for the same price, but only Pete will let me show you the plane, so we will feature it from him:

Merry Christmas! Right on schedule, I managed to come down with a flu bug just in time for Christmas. But I'll try to slip this in before I have to return to bed. So much for getting a flu shot...

All our offerings this week are from Bad Cat's sale. Unfortunately, I cannot post any pictures or descriptions from that site. As a result, you will have to click on the link to get them.

Our first and biggest item the 1:16 scale Forces of Valor Michael Whittmann Tiger for $299.00. That's more than $200 off retail. See it here:

http://www.badcataviation.com/tiimiwi1foof.html

Our second AFV is much more affordable. It is the 1:32 scale M7 Priest in an easy to assemble kit form from 21st Century. Bad cat has it for $14.00. Check it out it here:

http://www.badcataviation.com/m7prseprhoki.html

Gaining altitude, we'll start big with the 1:32 scale Macchi c.205 Veltro in Luftwaffe livery from 21st Century. It can fly into your air field for $12.00. The air raid warden has spotted it here:

http://www.badcataviation.com/macvelujg121.html

We travel to the south Pacific and the Coral Sea for our last offering. It is a 1:72 scale Hobby Master rendition of a SBD-3 Dauntless US Navy dive bomber from the Yorktown. The price is $18.00. See it being armed for a strike against the Japanese carriers here:
