I'm seriously considering buying this for my birthday. Check out the link. Each print is signed by 10 U-Boat aces, including Erich Topp & Otto Kretchmer.

I wouldn't normally spend $450.00 on something like this, but after framing it would be beautiful. What do you guys think? Is it worth the price?

As far as im concerned, the signatures alone are worth the $450.00. The art is just an added bonus!

Fine mililtary art is a great addition to your home. I have 6 military art prints in my house. This print graces my family room (Battle of Cowpens):

This one is in my foyer (battle of Fredericksburg):

This one is in my living room (calvary charges at Waterloo -- not a great jpeg): http://www.wargamer.com/reviews/waterloo/rocco_lg.jpg

Prints from "in demand" artists like Troiani routinely increase significantly in value after they sell out. At the very least, they retain their value.

None of the jpegs do these justice -- when you see one triple matted in a nice cherry frame, it's something!

If you can afford it; if you will treasure and display it for years to come; if you cannot get it for a better price elsewhere; and if there is not something (or things) that you like even better for about the same money or less, then get it.

I always thought that the battle of the cowpens should of been called the "Slaughter at the Cowpens". Boy we sure did kick the crap outta those limey bastards, lol.

Any day that we kicked the tar out of British regulars is a great day! The whole Southern campaign in the Revolutionary War is great stuff.
