There is a store up the road about 20 miles from me that sells all kinds of stuff. They sell store buy-outs, discontinued stuff, tractor trailer wrecks, all kinds of ways of gettin their merch. Their stuff is sold "as is" and at unbelivable discounts. Ive never gotten anything bad from them but it does occasionally happen from what ive heard. Anyhow, i got Brandi to pick this up for me for 8 bucks, thats right 8 dollars. Its a 50 dollar model. They had the Panzer Jagd/IV70, two different models of the Sherman and a IS-2 as well. I would of liked them all but we didnt have the cash for them. Too bad as a deal like this probably wont be found again anytime soon, or ever.

I saw some of those on closeout at Hobby Lobby--but not at $8 a pop. Great buy! The display cases alone go for about $8 on sale.

Our blunder-bust this week is the Forces of Valor 1:16 scale Tiger I tank as it was seen in Poland in 1944, as part of Schwere Panzer Abteilung 505. Wartoyz has one for you at $359.99.

http://www.wartoyz.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/fv85104-tiger-i-2011-450.jpg

In pursuit of greater firepower, the German Army created a series of heavy battle tanks. One of the most formidable was the Tiger Tank. With 100MM thick armor plating and an awesome 88MM gun, the Tiger was vastly superior to the Allied tanks it faced.

This special 1:16 scale 2011 Limited Edition version of the Tiger I recreates the Tiger I tank as it was seen in Poland in 1944. As part of Schwere Panzer Abteilung 505, this Tiger I was emblazoned with the battalion logo of a charging knight on its turret.

The Forces of Valor 2011 Limited Edition Extreme Metal Tiger I possesses an incredible array of detailing on the tank. Beginning with the real metal tracks and continuing with working tank suspension, exquisite sculpting, casting and painting detail, and including many removable elements and tools. The engine compartment is accessible and the detailed engine will be removable and can be displayed separately.

This 1:16 scale Tiger 1 tank is approximately 16 inches long (22 inches including the gun barrel) and 9 inches wide. It includes a scale figure of the tank commander.

Yup--but I caught it quickly and posted it on the correct thread. Decided to leave it here as well to show that you and your country store inspired the first pick this week.
