Veterans Day
 

A salute to all our vets.

This Veterans Day my focus was mostly on just one 85 year old World War II era vet and his Korean War era bride. He was home just one day from being released from rehab after major heart surgery. Yet he had enough energy to make sure that the flag was flying above his front steps this morning and retired before the sun went down. He had only a little energy for the things that he has done on a regular basis for so many years. Just sitting through three meetings about the daily in-home care that he and his wife now need required a long afternoon nap. All in all--just another little victory for an old sailor.
