CM Map Converter

This is something that you battle/op and map makers might want to check out: http://www.pyes-ct.de/mc.html

There is a current thread discussing it at Battlefront/CM under "the scenario talk" threads.

It is a map converter between various versions of CM.

I'm wanting to convert some CMBO scenarios to CMAK. I found this utility:

http://www.pyes-ct.de/mc.html

But I need CMBO to export the maps. Well, I don't have CMBO anymore. Go figure.

So, I'm wondering if this utility is a worthwhile app. If so, I'll grab another CMBO CD and start playing with it.

Thanks,

Not only for converting BO to BB or AK

Convert an Op from any to any above.

Change height, direction, crop, etc.

It only copies map tiles, you still have to buy and position units, flags reinf. etc.

Hint, make sure the copy to window is the same size as the copy from.

Before Pyewacket's program came out I converted 3 scenarios and 1 Op using the old fashioned method of one tile at a time, both for terrain and elevation. It took me over a week to convert the map to Wild Bill's "Ardennes - Team Desorby".

With Map converter 1.29 I can convert the same map in under a minute.

Excellent program.

leakyD,
I still have CMBO, so I'll be happy to convert the maps if you want. E-mail me with your choices.

KF -

Thanks for the offer. You're a good man!

I'm wanting to do all of the training scenarios from CMBO to CMAK. Heck, maybe even CMBB as well. Why not. They're good training.

Specifically:

"Grafenwohr"
"Fire and Maneuver"

I don't know the names of any of the other training scenarios, if there are any.

I just sent you an email. Thanks again for the assistance!

I've finally had a chance to look this over-

very interesting. This information may be applied to my next operation.

Thanks Jag

Does anyone have a copy of this program? The link is dead.

Does anyone have a link or copy of the original CMBO Operation Totalise - Halpenny Force operation file?

I have lost both when my RAID array crashed.

KG_Soldier 12-23-2009 08:41 PM

I don't have CMBO loaded, but here is a link to Halpenny: http://freenet-homepage.de/t34m43/page114fe976ef0.html

Thx Mark!

Does anyone have a working link to or the actual file itself for the CMBO/CMAK map converter?

KG_Jag 12-24-2009 03:26 AM

Rob--I sent you the file. In the event it does not arrive, you'll have to get me an updated email address.

Hey Bill send me the convertor file too!

Merry Christmas to all!!!

On its way Kerry--and a very merry Christmas to you and your family.

KG_Jag 12-24-2009 01:33 PM

Kerry--you may have to give me an alternate email address and provider, as (apparently) yours rejects the zip contents, including two executables. Just sent it a third time through my Netscape email this time.
