I did some reading on the so-called "suitcase" nukes. They actually aren't briefcase size -- at least none of the ones, the Soviets ever employed. They are large luggage bag size (we're talking the LL Bean pull bag with wheels that fits 7 days worth of close). Still portable but not something a guy like me just casually walks in with and detonates.
