I agree: the points will add up to see which wanna-be Guderian made the rest of us look foolish after all the smoke clears from our burning tanks.

With only a plt of tanks or so to handle turns should not be that hard or long to run: not counting Bill of course who will spend hours pondering over each move of each tank... :)

count me in.

I think having just points for your own tanks end of game status would be a mistake (if I am understanding things correctly). I think kents idea in conjunction with the original points system would provide the best balance.

You'd have to come up with some ground rules. Like say if you had a gun damaged or immobiled tank that later got killed, would the points add up or not?

For instance lets say Swampy immobilized my captured Russian Stug, 3 Pts., and then flanked it and killed it, 5 PTs., with another of his German Stugs. Would the point total be 5 or 8 ? Kerry would have to figure this out before the Tourney. If it is a cumulative score such as 8 in the case above, we would almost have to have a referee to watch game turns for all games to keep track of points for all sides. Did you intend to do this Kerry?

No, that’s too complicated.

Points will be determined at end game for what "damage" a player has done to his opponent’s armor. This way if a player "hides" he limits his own ability to get points. Plus both players can easily see the results.

At end game the players would simply count how many of their opponents tanks are KIA, undamaged, immobilized, damaged, crew loss and then post the points.

To keep it simple- Immobilized would be for any reason since the tank was then limited in its impact in the battle.

We'll even kiss the scoring:

5- for a kill
3- for immobilized
2- for gun damage
1- for crew loss (any number) with no other damage.

(we might swap pts for immobile & Gun Dmg results)

Any other scoring reasons?

All ammo loads & exp will be the same.

Tanks in play will be:
T-34/76's (1942)
PzIIIJ(late)
PzIVF
PzVA (early)
StugIII (added in last combined scenario)

Does anyone care to have an SU-85 or StugIII only scenario? Could either be exciting or boring...

How do we handle crews that have bailed? Can they be killed for more points?

KG_Panzerschrek has invited me to join this tourney if that is alright with everyone. I'm sure you can use some cannon fodder.

I don't know. It might be a Boo Boo to let this Ranger play. Just kidding, it's fine by me.
