“Combat Mission: Afrika Korps will soon be coming to retail shelves in North America, thanks to a new deal struck between Battlefront and CDV. The game's developer, Battlefront, originally released Afrika Korps in 2003 via its online store, and is the third game in the popular and highly successful World War II wargame series, Combat Mission. Afrika Korps will appear on store shelves with new boxart and a new name: Combat Mission 3: Afrika Corps, packed with 65 bonus scenarios in 15 new areas of operation across Crete, Italy, and North Africa.

Combat Mission: Afrika Korps is a turn-based/real-time tactical wargame which painstakingly recreates ground warfare during the Second World War. Historically accurate units and weapons from seven nations appear in the game, each of which have been meticulously researched on everything from armor to paint schemes to sound effects. Realistic weather and environment affects are also modeled into this 3D game. Finally, players can toy around with the game's various scenarios and orders of battle with mission and map editor, as well as the Tables of Organization and Equipment.

There is no word on a release date or pricing, but a game demo is currently available for those interested.”
