Battlefield2 Demo Released!!!

A little history about me and bf.......and why things dont work for me.......................................

Back in the day....... i found out about bf...... and wanted to play it!!!! and the story begins.....


BF multi demo... took 3 hour to download with 56k... 2 months, a new computer with the only thing left of my old computer is a 20gb hard drive, new internet connection, and a joystick to get it to work!

BF Full ripoff version... 10 min to install of cd... 2 weeks to get it to work only in single player!

BF Full Real copy... 2 days drive time to store and install time... 3 weeks, a couple of reformats of different drives, and still saving everything else, and a new account on windows xp just for BF to work!

BF2 demo... 24 min to download... 1/2 a day and counting to get it to work!

And this is just at my moms house...I played bf at my moms, and my dads!!! And my dad did not even have the internet!!!!

Aint it great!!!

All that for a silly game!!!

But a great silly game at that!!!

Well I have two words to describe BF2: KICK ASS
Wow, I never realized how much I miss good ol' battlefield till I played BF2, this could quite possibly be the first game I have ever pre-ordered :-D

So far my favorite part is the VTOL fighter jet on the US carrier.... simply awesome..... I'll get a screeny for you guys tommorrow :)

Well, having DLed and play BF2 and bought and played CS:S I have to say that I am quite dissappointed in CS:S and very impressed with BF2. CS does not even live up to CoD IMHO.

THANK YOU!!! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL THE PEOPLE THAT PLAY THAT HORRIABLE GAME THAT!!! CS does suck and i have another person who agrees with me!!! So Ha!

SSpoom, well said.... I totally agree, it takes a good bit of time to really get into it.... Personally, I doubt I'll really ever get good, just because its just simply a game I've never been good at, but its still fun to play on occassion.... :)

well now... that's the first time in a looooong time I have had ANYTHING in common with a someone unde the ages of 25.

The game itself looks very nice. The execution leaves a lot to be desired. I am not a fan of "buying" equipment any worthy commander would see to it his troops had as a bare minimum. Head shots while on the run from 100 yards away. I refuse to play on servers that allow "spraypaint" porno. One person head shotting 6 people in a row through a doorway that allowed maybe a 3" vision slot. No apparent accuracy penalty for standing or even running for that matter. All this in less than an hour of game time.

I couldn't agree more SSpoom, I would say that the majority of the servers don't allow the porno sprays. All you have to do is make a mental note to never play on that server again. This game over any other game out there right now rewards the entire team for playing as a team. This game also has plenty of penalties for running and gunning and that is your accuracy. If you play the game more than a few times you will see that a person crouch down to steady their shot and 9 times out of 10 they will live while the other dies. Plain and simple CS:Source is true in every sense of the word.... "Teamwork" if you don't play as a team you WILL lose no if's and's or But's

It takes a while to get comfortable with this game and personally this game helps transform a rambo type into a team player real quick or it will make them stop playing altogether because no one perosn is going to stop a whole team from advancing no matter how good they think they are.

After you've played the game for a few weeks then render your judgment..NOT after one time.

Crimson, I agree with most of what was said in your previous post, however, I disagree with the statement above..... I have seen many times when a single player has DOMINATED an entire team, espically with an AWP....

As for the sprays, the admins actually cannot restrict pornographic sprays, the only way they could do that is by totally disabling sprays at all, which I've never even seen as in option in the server application.....
